History
BOWAS was originally founded in 1975 as the international marketing instrument for the Bohlen Industrie/WASAG Chemie activities.
In 2024 Repkon Group acquired a majority share in Bowas. Repkon Group designs and supplies machinery, equipment and turn-key plants, in sheet metal forming and energetics areas, for aerospace, defence and energy markets.
Combined Repkon Bowas Group one of the few players, if not only to be able to offer complete turn-key production capabilities to produce the metal ammunition and missile bodies, to produce the energetics and to fill them.
Although successful in this role, BOWAS very quickly moved into more challenging and independent areas of operation.
The combination of a profound knowledge of international markets and the wide range of technology at its disposal, stemming initially from the companies within the group, but later being enhanced through cooperation with a number of reputable partners, has made it possible for BOWAS to establish itself as a competent partner for products, technologies, machines and equipment as well as engineering services for the explosives related industries.
